Greg Burgess
     (Owner)

My formal education is centric around electronic and electrical
control systems. With this fundamental background, I have served in technical specialized roles within maintenance organizations maintaining facility, manufacturing, and process systems.

Problem identification, troubleshooting, and resolution has become a strong aspect of my technical capabilities. Knowledge of how control systems work, became imperative to my successful career, and directly impacted my understanding of mechanical and process systems on which I worked.

In every employment, I have achieved leadership positions attributed to my interpersonal relationship skills and technical abilities. My supervisory career has included management ratios between one and thirty-two individuals. I can lead and facilitate large and small technical teams towards resolution of complicated issues.

Over time, I have managed two different facilities. One was a 125,000ft twelve story high rise, and another was a 1.4Mft food processing facility with anhydrous ammonia refrigeration systems, cold storage and wastewater treatment systems. I have worked within established maintenance programs, have developed PM programs from scratch, and assisted clients with development and implementation of their maintenance programs for new facilities.

I have firsthand experience working within both FDA and USDA regulated facilities.

In 2007, I began providing formal commissioning services. Since that time, I have successfully commissioned over 3 million square feet of conditioned space for a variety of projects within Government; Education, Healthcare, Science and Technology, Criminal Justice, and Manufacturing.

Over time, I realized that my interest was centric around complicated systems and processes. This desire led to specializing in commissioning of critical facilities, buildings
with challenging systems such as complex electrical distribution systems, fire alarm and fire suppression systems, building envelope, and complicated HVAC systems supporting a variety of facility types including data centers, clean manufacturing environments, laboratories, hospitals, cleanrooms, and research facilities. My experience with controlled environments is extensive.

My approach to commissioning assures you have an operational facility meeting the required performance requirements, all while maintaining the lowest overall operational cost for the facility on day one.

Applying a strong collaborative approach to commissioning is key to a successful project. My commitment is to work intimately with all project team members. For most projects this includes the client and their facilities staff, the design and construction teams, and equipment venders when needed. This approach facilitates a smooth turnover process, providing assurance that your interest in the project is achieved.

I maintain my credentials as a Certified Commissioning Authority (CxA) through the AABC Commissioning Group (ACG) and my Certified Energy Manager (CEM) credentials through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). I am also a level II certified Infrared Thermographer, complementing my capabilities during forensic evaluations of building envelopes, steam systems, mechanical, and electrical systems.
